Exploring New York City, NYC - 5 Boroughs of the Big Apple!

The 5 Borough’s of New York City: Queens, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. The Boroughs make up the heart and life of New York City. When you mention the borough’s you are talking about the heart of the city. The first one we will talk about is Queens.

Queens is a borough of New York City to the East of Manhattan. It is filled with history and nostalgia. Most notably is the second largest in population and also home to the New York Mets. Queens captures the heart and minds of many by having foods from around the world. Some places of interest to mention quickly, New York Hall of Science, Queens Botanical Garden, and Queens Museum of Art. You can find an eclectic of cultures and foods from around the world.

Manhattan, of the five boroughs, is the most widely known when it comes to recognizing a borough. Big name places like Madison Square Garden, Greenwich Village, Broadway and Walls St. are a few of those places. Of course, you cannot forget times square and central park as all time favorites.

Brooklyn stands by far as the largest of the five boroughs. With a varied social and ethnic diversity Brooklyn is also known as the second largest county in the United States.

The Bronx, is renowned in the media. It is one of the boroughs known previously for drugs and crime. Recently, it is home to the New York Yankee stadium and the Bronx Zoo.

Finally, Staten Island is renowned for beauty and access. The Staten Island Ferry is one of the most popular tourist attractions offering a glimpse at the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan, and Ellis Island. Besides this Staten Island has a rustic look to it offering a ‘get away’ from the City.

All in all, New York City is world renowned for its Boroughs and presents a chance of a lifetime visit for anyone.
